Jacqueline Lewis

Founder & Principal

An experienced art historian, curator, and consultant, Jacqueline has consulted with private, civic, and corporate collectors in the Los Angeles area, including the City of Santa Monica's Public Art Collection. Formerly she was the Director and Regional Curator for the Americas of the UBS Art Collection where she was responsible for building, managing, and exhibiting a world-renowned 30,000-object collection of modern and contemporary art. At UBS, Jacqueline launched an international art acquisitions and exhibitions program, while supporting the global wealth manager’s sponsorship platforms, such as the Art Basel franchise and its many museum partnerships. Jacqueline also co-managed a long-term donation of forty-four works of art as a promised gift to The Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Previously, as a fine art auction house specialist, cataloguer, and administrator at internationally recognized auction houses, Sotheby’s and Phillips, she worked with impressionist, modern, contemporary art, and photographs from all eras.  Additionally, her background includes administering private sales and art-related financing across collecting categories for collectors, galleries, and dealers at Sotheby’s Financial Services. 

Recently, Jacqueline was awarded a Regent’s Fellowship in the History of Art and Architecture for the Ph.D. program at the University of Santa Barbara, California, where she focused on African American Art and the Arts of the African Diaspora. Jacqueline has a Master's Degree in Art History from Hunter College, City University of New York, and a B.A. in Art History from Trinity College, Connecticut, and completed additional coursework as a Ph.D. student at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. She has spoken at institutions and art market events hosted at UBS, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, Museo Jumex, Mexico City, and Art Chicago, and has worked with media outlets such as The ArtNewsPaper, Forbes, Cultured, and LALA Magazine, among others.
